Default HELP!!! Anyone know how to...

...get Proknows Adhesive out of an outfit ??

My clown couterpart, like myself, is a little clumsy. Last time she was dressing for a nursing home visit she accidentally spilled the bottle & it went all down the front of her pretty dress. Now I can't get it out. I picked & scratched at it... I washed it... sprayed it w/ stain remover... it just won't come off.

Help??

Any suggestions?

Jim Howle's suggestion for removing adhesive is to apply more adhesive b/c it will break-up hardened adhesive - and then before the adhesive dries again use warm soap and water... But this is for the inside of the nose - not sure how well it would work on fabric! Anyone want to try it and see if it works!?

Bump a nose!

WARNING LAST DITCH EFFORT!!!!!!!

My Wife spilled acrylic paint on her costume and it dried in. Nothing would remove the stuff..... Except a solvent called MEK. This is nasty, unhealthy to breathe, use, posses... You get the idea. Test first on a spot for colorfastness. Wear Blue Nitrile Gloves. Nothing else will protest your skin for this stuff and do in a VERY well ventilated area. If it doesn't remove the color, use on a paper towel or rag and use a table knife to scrape it off. After removal, wash a couple of cycles to make sure the chemical is out. I hope it works. We were able to save my wife's costume.

Good Luck,
Scruffy

I know it sounds funny, but try a little WD40 in an inconspicuous spot and see if that does it. Spray a little on let it sit for just about 10 or 15 seconds then rub at it with you fingernail. It may take a few tries to get it all if it works, but its worth a try. Rinse it out with dish soap right away afterwords. XOXO Duckie

Did you try going to a dry cleaners to see if they could help?

If you can't remove the spill, maybe a new bow, ribbons, or a scarf would cover the stain and allow you to keep wearing the dress.
