Nose Adhesive
I need some recommendations! I've got skin that gets oilier (is that a word?) as the day passes, and most of the obvious choices (spirit gum, pro-nose, schnattlacher, liquid latex, etc.) just don't last longer than an hour. I want something that'll last for four-five hours before reapplication is necessary (about the length of a good parade, including waiting for the darn thing to start!). Any ideas?
Yes, I've considered plastic surgery, but the cost is prohibitive! :-)

Welcome back, Nosey!
I too had the same problem. And this is what worked for me. I use an Alcohol wipe (Like they swab you with before you get a shot.) to remove the makeup and or powder that is on my nose. after that U apply two Mehron sticky dots (Or Proknows tape strips.) to my clown nose. It now hurts to remove it and stays on as long as I need it to.
I have tried spirit gum, Liquid latex, and the high dollar $15 bucks for four ounces medical adhesive. None of them work hold my solid rubber nose on. The dots do work! BTW, If your nose is hollow, stuff a Kleenex, or a cotton square into it to avoid that irritating "Post nasal drip."
Give it a try Nosey, I was ready to try the last resort... String. But this way is the best way I have found for me!
Cheers,
Scruffy

I also want to welcome you back to the Forum Nosey.
I don't have any advise about the adhesive as I am strting to have more problems with my nose and am just beginning to think about alternatives.

I was going to suggest super glue too, as a joke, but I see RD already took my joke. What about just coloring your own nose instead of gluing one on?

I guess with a name like NoseyTClown, that you can't go around without the nose.
I think that I heard SuperGlue is used as a medical adhesive, so it might be safe. But it would be a last resort. That can be some real sticky stuff and may cause more problems.
Are you applying the nose to your clean face or over makeup?
I notice from your profile you are almost a neighbor. I live in South Riding.

Hi NosyTClown, I know I just started clowning, but the few times I have preformed I had the same problem along with kids pulling my nose off, I tried Jim Howles nose putty he sold me and it didn't work well. When I was at Circus Magic, I asked Leon McBride about my nose falling off and he turned me onto his new ProKnose tape, I tried it on Saturday when I was in costume all day and boy that stuff sticks, I had a hard time taking it off, got a roll for 10, hoep it helps!

Maybe a clay facial mask would help absorb excess oil. And cucumber slices over your eyelids, and then you should get your nails done...
