Wow! Those few changes really make a difference. It is looking more like a clown's outfit all the time. Good work.

Not sure if you were adding pockets to the skirt? Definatley need some color/pattern on skirt too. If not pockets maybe applique random patches or shapes with striped material. I like the idea of a tux jacket with skirt. Might also consider contrast fabric on collar and lapels.

Maybe some pink bloomers as someone already mentioned. Then add some striped or polka-dotted socks and pink or yellow gloves. And did anyone mention pockets yet <tee hee>. Definitely pockets. As my homemade costumes are improving as I find out more and more what I need, I've found a hidden zipper pocket on my bloomers for my cell phone, money, keys, and id a must. I've also found a couple of smaller pockets useful for the quick to find items like stickers, business cards, or small gags. And then the big pockets for everything else. Small pockets can even be hidden in the big pockets if preferred.

Your costume is really looking cute. You'll have to post a pic when it's ready.

Biscuit- You are on the right track and you are lucky to be able to make your own look that fits you! I am also a new clown and had an inexpensive costume already but found a great online site to update and add a different look. "Costume Accessories." Have FUN!!!
