Eye Lashes
I love the look of false eye lashes but have been too afraid to try them. I guess I'm afraid I'll glue them to my contact lenses ... or worse yet... glue my eyes shut!
Do you put them on before your make-up? Before you powder? Do they stay on well? How do you remove them? Where do you buy them? Any advice would be appreciated! ~Cuddles~

False eyelashes can be picked up at any number of costume shops and/or clown shops. They come in just about any imaginable color and style. The eyelash adhesive is a very thin latex or for those alergic to latex there is a substutite. It is easiest to apply the lashes with an eyelash clamp. It is a curved clamp that holds the eyelash. You then press the lashes just above your own lashes on your upper eyelid. To remove simply pull, they come right off.

I only wear them some times. But I put them on almost last. just before the mascara. I use regular people lashes. I want people to see my eyes not say oh what big eyelashes you have. I use a little mascara after I put them on because the make up will make my natural ones white.
It is really easy. I just put a tiny little line of eyelash adhesive along the edge and put them right on. Sometimes I wonder why they stay on but they do. After halloween you can get them dirt cheap at walmart and the like. And they have a little more varioty than regular people lashes. They have a lot of pretty ones.

I personally can't stand the stupid things but I wear them because the really make my eyes pop. I guess I can't stand them because I never can seem to get them on properly. Go figure... I can stick my finger on my eyeball to put in contact lenses but can't get those stupid lashes on the outside properly!! Guess it just takes practice. And I bet it would be a lot easier with one of those handy eyelash clamps Fitzy spoke of. I may have to get me one of those if Harmony insists on being beautiful!!
Oh, and the eyelashes are the next to last thing I put on... right before my big red honker!
