Time
Just wondering how long it takes everybody to get ready for a gig?
Make-up, costume, etc.
I'll be the first...
It takes me about an hour.

I always allow an hour. That way if I hit a snag, like I have to make the hat tear because I'm out, I have the time to deal with it. If someone calls and needs an "emergency clown show" I can be out of the house in 20 min.

I allow 1 hr. but can do it in about 45min.,if I don't make a mistake.
I do not short cut my make up for a 10 min. gig or a 3 hr. gig.

I can do my face in about ten minutes. I prefer at least twenty but sometimes you have to do a repair. In fact, I had to do a repair on my face in the pictures that Jitterbug did at the spring fling. I would guess about five minutes to put on the costume. then the shoes.... Half an hour...ish?

It takes me about a 1/2 hour to get myself ready. It takes another 1/2 hour to make sure I have all my magic, balloon, pumps, cards, coloring sheets, limbo pole, table.ect packed I either have to travel lighter, or be more organized with my stuff. I have very little closet space so the stuff is in different closets all over the house. I have four cats so if I leave it outside of a closet it gets cat hair all over it

If absolutely necessary I and do my face in about 10 minutes, it usually takes between 15 and 20 and a couple more to through on my costume. The crazy thing is, that if my contacts don't like my eyes that day I can spend that long putting them in. Almost forgot that last minute shave, beter add another 5 minutes unless I cut myself. (I try to allow an hour or so, but it doesn't always happen.)
