Default The Parade of a Thousand Clowns!

http://redskelton.vinu.edu/index.php?id=47

Well, we were looking for somewhere for everyone to meet up. How about this? It's affordable, fun, and educational. Bubba is giving a presentation, as well as leading a worship service on Sunday morning. There is a parade of all of the clowns who sign up, plus meals at the University. At this point, we may have already missed the 200 clown mark (the first 200 clowns to sign up got free housing at the local university) but I'm sure there's plenty of affordable hotels in the area, and fellow clowns can always carpool and share a room, or something like that.

This event takes places on June 9th & 10th. Registration is only $20 per person, and a 4 meal ticket is another $25. Not a bad deal! The meal ticket provides dinner on Friday and Saturday, plus Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday.

So. Who's going?

Agreed. It's sounds pretty cool. And I'd definitely consider going (especially with the complimentary housing).... if I didn't already have a gig that Saturday.

IBIMUS,

This is another GREAT idea! It's too short of notice for me though. I'm doing a Masonic Volksmarch in Washington DC that Saturday. http://www.masonictrail.org/

Maybe next year.

I may just make it down there this year. A couple of us talked about it last year.

Wink will be there .... but not with any bells on this year

I'm booked at a Quality Inn as I am coming with my clown dog partner, Lady. Sewing up our matching outfits like a madwoman.
Rescheduled my June 10 calligraphy class.
Gotta pay my registration fee though.
Gott figure out where to get a big paddle balloon in Vincennes on Friday.

Will post again here when it is time to leave.

ps - don't expect much from the clown dog - she is definitely not the sharpest crayon in the box. BUT. She is a great people meeter, - and will LOVE a Parade. She is drop dead gorgeous so I will be just the "dot" at the end of our clown sentence We went to an affair called Doggerel Days and entered the "Smartest Dog" contest. Lady demonstrated how smart she was by sitting at my side the whole time watching the other dogs do their tricks. Believe me - for her that is a GREAT accomplishment.
