Now, to be fair, I have not gone to Clown Camp. I do intend to in the next couple of years as a "look see." The two camps are structured very differently from what I have been told.

While I'm also partial to Moosecamp (as that is where I got my signifigant influence of early training and the staff have earned my respect for their ability to teach clowning at a core level of both art and skill), I also know a lot of people who have attended Clown Camp. They always rave about it. Either/both camps, then, have something unique and very wothwhile to offer, I think, as Fitzwilly has alluded.
The real question to ask, in my opinion, is what is best suited for you, individually, at a particular point in your clowning career. Each of us is in a different place and time. So, one must ask, "How will attending this particular camp/conference help me grow and get from where I am to somewhere I'd like to be?" In determining that, get as much information as you can about various offerings, talk to those who have attended, ask lots of questions, assess your interests and desires, then see what fits best.

I believe the closest airport is the one in Saint Cloud. Jamz or Tim would be the ones to answer that. I rode the buses one year to welcome everyone but I have no idea were we went.

Minneapolis/St.Paul is the primary airport in that area. Moosecamp send a bus to/from the terminal on the first and last day of camp for the benefit of those flying in. There is an additional fee (of about $50, I believe) for this transportation. If you go that way, it is a LOT of fun, as it starts camp off in a nifty way, where you get to meet many people at the airport, have fun making friends and playing games on the bus, and starting off the whole learning experience early in that communal environment which unites.
You can take the bus or train to the Twin Cities, also and catch the bus from there. There is a city transit bus which takes you directly to the area where the Moosecamp schoolbus awaits. I highly recommend the train trip. Wonderful ride through the Wisconsin bluffs and along the Mississippi River. Spend the night in St. Paul, perhaps, where I understand that there is a bar with clown decor.

I drive when I go. It takes me between 9 and 11 hours with an occasional stop to smell the roses.

There's no need to kill the roses. Go to gas station, for heaven's sake!

I like to drive and check out the scenery, plus as staff I am always hauling "stuff" from here to there.

Driving does provide the opportunity to make side trips, like to Circus World in Baraboo or the Clown Hall of Fame outside Milwaukee.
