Registration news for the 1st Annual Spring Fling for Clown Forum
Ok, everybody ... here’s the scoop …
This is the link for you to register.
Clown Convention
Group Name: Clown Convention
Group Code: CLC
Check-in: 28-MAR-2008
Check-out: 30-MAR-2008
Hotel Name: Hampton Inn & Suites South Bend
Hotel Address: 52709 US 31 North
South Bend, Indiana
46637
If we do not have 10 rooms filled by February 26, 2008, the event will have to be canceled. By having 10 rooms filled will eliminate the $200 fee for the big room for presentations, etc. I will post the outcome on February 27th. Make sure you check at that time.
Remember … Dates are March 28-30 … cost of room is $99 plus tax per night. Food is on your own.

Feb 26? They certainly haven't given us much time from the initial agreement to get the word out.
Why would the event necessarily need to be canceled without 10 rooms being reserved. Wouldn't that just mean that we would require a nominal registration fee. Shoot, if we had just 20 people come, that's only an extra 10 buck a piece. Still a steal of a deal.

There is another option but one that is not nearly so convienent. There is another hotel but they don't have a jam room deal for us like Nettie was able to work out. There are also a couple of restaurants that have side rooms we might be able to commendeer for the day but there would be limits as far as time and such then. WE WILL MAKE THIS WORK.

They shouldn't be actually charging anyone's credit card until checkout, anyway. So it ought not be a worry.

As long as the rate holds for those who HAVE reserved rooms by the cutoff date, I honestly don't see where there should be any problem.
We are expecting some sort of local contingent, also, no? And they won't, exactly, be getting recruited via the clown forum, but in other ways, I imagine. Perhaps not all of them will be staying at the actual hotel (preferring to commute to the get together), but is it not then fair to ask them to contribute something for the use of the room. Honestly, $200 is cheap, especially if we have 20 - 40 clowns attending. It's better if we don't have to pay anything, but asking for 10 or 20 dollars from each participant isn't at all uncalled for. Shoot, if we need to go to a restaurant to hang out, it is going to cost more than that! Perhaps what could be suggested (if need be) would be to ask for a small registration cost which will be waived if you are staying at the convention hotel (and thus contributing in cost layout that way.)

Alright, I'm booked. If anyone needs a roommate, I have an extra bed available for the low low price of $111 for two nights (assuming no other room add ons from the standard fee.)

That went wrong, lets try again! I was saying that I was a little thick today, cause I thought you were bunkin' with Nettie, Hop, and Sassy. Or is the room you are talking about here for your friend Jo, and are you checking to see if she wants company? Let me know, I'm easy! (but I'm not CHEAP! LOL) Well sometimes I'm cheap, but then of course I'm never EASY!!!! Hugs, Duckie!!!!
