Default Kena Klowns @ GW Birthday Parade in Alexandria

Well, my unit marched in the George Washington's Brithday Parade on Monday, 18 February. It was a great day! There were nine of us who dressed-out. The weather was in the 60s, which is not normal for the Metropolitan Washington DC area for February. The crowd was really friendly too, which IS usual for this parade.

Here is a group shot of a few of us in front of our Klown Kar:

The kar ran until the very end. It conked out and had to be pushed off the finish line and up into the trailer while it back-fired several times. I did a simple walk-around with an old umbrella that I tore up, to make it more "Trampy". I just walked down the center line and acted tired and bored and really sad until I got a hug from a kid. Occasionally I pretended to high-wire walk on the yellow line down the center of the road. It was a lot of fun and simple.

Cheers!

You look like a bunch that people like to see. What kind of car is that? At first I was thinking bug but looking a little closer it looks older, much older, say mid 30s.

Yes, it's a 1930 something Ford truck. It's not all original. It was modified to take a canopy on the top, and a wooden box on the back to hold stuff out of the way. It also has a battery for the starter in the box on the back.
