Clown camp is a tremendous opportunity to spend an unforgettable week with 200 clowns at an affordable price. Some things that I like about Clown Camp are:
1. All inclusive fee covers all food and lodging.
2. Lodging is in the brand new "suites" dormitories. Air conditioned, luxurious apartments with private sleeping bedrooms!
3. Full days of classes/performances from early morning throughout the night (if you choose to try to keep up!)
4. Each year it's like returning home to "family."
5. You are exhausted from a full week of continuous laughter and fun!
They do offer an extra day of optional intensives this year. This was very successful last year.

There are about 100 classes to choose from during the week. You can also choose to follow a certain "track" (ie: caring clowning, safety clowning, etc.) if you choose. CEU's are available for some if you can use them!
2008 will mark the 28th year of clown camp! It will soon come to an end with 2010 being the last scheduled camp as they celebrate 30 years. So if you're at all wanting to participate in this program before it's retired....be thinking about it soon! You can apply for scholarships through the Clown Camp website each year. Scholarships are also available through WCA and COAI.
I hope everyone is striving to continue your education in the art and skills of clowning each year. A fabulous resource to find something close to you is
Clown Events at ClownEvents.com.
Happy "Smart" Clowning!
