July 14 - 18, 2008
Marion, Indiana
This is an event I've wanted to attend since I began clowning and I'm finally planning to go this July! I can't speak from personal experience, but have heard rave review about this training event for years
Unlike the title of the camp may imply, it's much, much more than "magician" training. Classes cover:
1. Fulfilling God’s mission through your Gospel Magic;
2. Following God’s command through your Chalk Drawings;
3. Rejoicing in God’s favor through your Ventriloquism & Storytelling;
4. Marveling at God’s Grace when children respond to His call through you Clowning;
5. Revealing God’s glory through your Puppetry;
6. Expressing God's beauty through the art of Face Painting;
7. Declaring God’s word through Drama & Juggling;
8. Delighting in God’s way through your Balloon Artistry;
9. Pledging our ministry to God.
This weeklong training event is held at Wesleyan University. 3 meals daily are served in the cafeteria and included in your registration as well as lodging. An example of just how "affordable" this training is.....members of FCM can register prior to June for only $270 for the entire week (includes room & board!). Membership fee to join FCM is only $25 per year (US)...but there are nonmember rates on the website.
There are currently 6 of us going from Des Moines, IA to FCM in July '08 for the first time and our group continues to grow.
Complete details can be found at the FCM Website:
