Not sure if I'm going. I want to, but my husband said that we don't have the money.

I just heard from Sheri at Mooseburger: They're all full on the full packages. They only have the overlander packages left (you have to find your own lodging and transportation). I'm so bummed. I did put my name on the waiting list, though. Sniff sniff

Oh, Pinky, I'm sorry they're full. I got so nervous when I saw your post that I called Mooseburger and was told that I was the last person who got in for the complete package. I can't believe they filled up that fast. On Tuesday they had 20 openings left!
But I've heard that they do usually get cancellations, so I bet you will still get in. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

You're very sweet, pickles (hey, SWEET PICKLES!). I kinda like dill better, but you're sweet nonetheless. I hope to see you there, if I can get in.

Pinky, I feel your pain. I called this morning and was told the same thing, but the good new is that the waiting list isn't very long they said so our chances of getting the full package looks very good, in the meantime I am going to get the overlander package and then upgrade when the full package becomes available, although I'm looking into hotels just in case.

Mooseburger Camp Waiting List
Hi there!
This is Katie, one of the registration staff members at Mooseburger's. Since there has been a lot of chatter on the forum about registrations, I thought I would post an update.
As of last night, we have reached maximum capacity for Moose Campers who are lodging on the grounds. However, we are still taking registrations. WE STILL HAVE ROOM! (just not for you to sleep here)
If you wish to attend Moose Camp this year, then you have one of two options:
1. Register for the OVERLANDER Package (costs $650) which includes your food, education, and everything else that takes place during Moose Camp. The two things it does not cover are: your lodging and your round-trip shuttle to and from the MSP Airport (additional $50 for shuttle). There are a few hotels within 15 minutes of Moose Camp, so you should have no problem finding lodging elsewhere. You can register for the OVERLANDER Package online here:Pricilla Mooseburger Originals - home or by calling us at 320-963-6277.
2. Call us (320-963-6277) or send us an email with your first and last name and phone number (send to info@mooseburger.com) to get on the WAITING LIST for a COMPLETE Package (costs $795 and includes lodging). There are always a few last-minute cancellations -- so if you are willing to take a chance and wait, then contact us by email or phone and sign up for the waiting list. When a cancellation opens up, we will begin calling the names on the list, from top to bottom, until the spot is filled. You are under no obligation to accept the registration if we call you, but we would like it if you were able to give us a speedy decision, please!
At the moment, we only have three folks on the waiting list, and there are an average of 4 to 8 cancellations each year, so...here's to hoping that statistics are on your side!
We would love to have EVERY body go to Moose Camp who wants to -- but we can fit only so many clowns in the clown car!

Thanks a bunch folks, and we'll see you in July!

Hmmm... I wonder if (should they get like 10 extra clowns who want to attend but for whom there is no room at the inn) they could set up some sort of discount hotel package in downtown Buffalo or elsewhere closeby, perhaps. Maybe Mooseburger ought to look into this, themselves. Room sharing would also help out with costs of overflow attendees in that regard.
What's the difference in cost between overlander and full package?
Filling up so fast (and this early) is actually great news in a way. It may mean that in the future they will have to return to offering a second week again. I don't think that has happened since Frosty Little was last with them in 2004. Indeed, this may be the first time they have filled up since then. Just a couple of years ago, registration was fairly low.
In any case, since the two of you are likely the first two on the waiting list, I suspect that you'll both have the opportunity to attend.

Well, that answers my question about cost differential. With $150 difference, 2 - 3 people sharing a hotel room would certainly make things feasible at a similar cost to the full package. Considering that the overlander includes meals, it's still a very worthwhile and equitable package.

2003 was the last time they did the 2-week thing, but that was at a different venue that could not hold as many people at one time.
2003 was Dad's first yr, 2004 was my 1st yr, Frosty's last yr, and the 1st yr at King's House.
Looks like we'll be filling up both dining rooms again!
