Red face clown schools,camps,workshops where???

Since I am a newbie, I am so eager to get into some training so that I can get a decent act together. Mooseburger camp would be great but it is full as far as I know. Are there any others in the near future and in the states? Thanks for all of the advice and help on this site. Sunny

You can check Clown Camp in Lacrosse WI. Or TNT is a ministry camp but they also cover all the basics. Both are week long things. There are a LOT of weekend things. Local clown alleys also offer trainning.

Where in MN are you? I believe that they still have "overlander" packages available, where one could" commute" to camp. If you live close enough, would that be an option? Also, I have suggested that 2-3 clowns attending on an overlander package might want to get together to stay at a nearby hotel. It would come out to be about the same cost as a full package that way.

Clown Camp is another good suggestion. But I understand that they, also, are near capacity. So register soon if you want to attend that.

If waiting till a little later in early fall is an option, then consider attending the Midwest Clowning Association Convention.

Moosecamp is in Buffalo, MN. Lacrosse is only going to have 2 more yrs after this summer. Both are very good, but they are taught from 2 very different points of view.

A good website to look at from time to time is Clown Events at ClownEvents.com.

Clown Star Lots of trainings!

There are so many valuable clown trainings going on all year all over the country! Many clowns never make it to a week-long camp. Get your education when and where you can.

Are you a member of an alley?

What part of Minnesota are you from? They have several good alleys in the Minneapolis area.

Weeklong camps are great but they can be "overload" if you're a baby clown. soooooo much info in a short time can be overwhelming to some so don't feel like you have to run right off for a week! Like someone suggested, keep an eye on Clown Events at ClownEvents.com for trainings driveable for you.

Good luck!

I was informed last night by Betty Cash, that Lacrosse has closed registration for this year. There are still 2 years left, so if you are interested, make plans to be there well in advance, and try to get your registration in early for next year.

Also, Moosecamp is currently at full capacity for full packages, however, there are always some cancelations, so you might try getting on the waiting list for the full package, or you could try to overlander package that Tim mentioned. Moosecamp is well worth the effort to get there. You will learn tons, you'll meet great people, and make life-long friendships. (I know all of this from personal experience, as do Tim and Fitzwilly, and a few others on the forum.)
