Default Last min. moosecamp worries:(

Hey all you moosecamp campers,
It's DJ here wanting to give you the chance to talk about any last min worries for camp tommrrow. I feel that it is good to worrie a little bit but not to much. I hope you are more excited then any thing. Ok here are a few things that I was worried about when I want to moosecamp for my first time last year:

Q-Will the staff like me?
A- I feel dumb for worrieing about this one. The staff is really nice and very helpfull. They are always there for their campers.
  • Q-Will campers like me?
A- Yes most of the campers will like you. After all we are one big happy family and we should all stick together. Be yourself!!!!
  • Q-Is it alot of work?
A- Moosecamp to me is like clown bootcamp. Pace yourself!!!

Q- What should I bring to class everyday?
  • A- Your instucter will tell you at the preveiw tommrrow night.
Q- How much shopping money should I bring?
  • A- I can't really help you here but there is alot of stuff to buy. Bring as much as you can
Q- The all star clown show?
  • A- Don't think this fair till they tell you.
Q- What is my roomate going be like?
A-Won't know till you get. Most of them are great and you are only really around them for sleep time if they are not so great.

Camp food is it good?

A- Way better then school food. So yes it is pretty good.

Well that is my list from last year. I know almost all the new campers out there have questions and I will be checking this thread almost all day today and some time in the morning tommrrow as I pack my bags. I am also in touch with Fritz, Katie And Fred. So if I can't come up with a answer I will find someone who can. Well go pack your nose and big shoes and if you don't have any of that no worries because at moosecamp we will take good care of you. Thanks so much and no worries,
DJ the clown

P.S. Cheers for moosecamp

Well everyone it's DJ again. Not much was left here for me to answer witch is a good thing because it shows me that there are not to many worries out there. I hope everyone has fun at moosecamp and learns alot to take back and share with thier clown friends like the clowns here on the forum. I look forward to seeing all the campers at camp and I wish everyone a big bump on the nose for a grand old time. thanks your clown friend,

Sounds like so much fun. Moosecamp and Celebration Barn seem like they'd be so amazing. I hope I'll be able to attend one day!

I've been to Moosecamp. It is a great and wonderful experience. I remember almost chickening out at the last minute. "Maybe I shouldn't do this," I thought. It's a wild concept. What am I going to say to those who ask me why I'm visiting or making this trip?" But I knew it was what I had wanted to do. I promised myself I would. And, for goodness sake, my (not uncostly) registration and transportation were paid for. "I'm stepping on that train Sunday!" I kept telling myself. "I just have to do this. I'm not wasting the opportunity. I'm getting on that train."

I'm glad I did!

You're right, Chance, Celebration Barn also seems like something special. In a different way than Moosecamp, I'm sure. But either Avner's class or the weeklong on physical comedy are certainly things which I'd like to do one of these years. I have my eyes set on it. And, though I'm not sure when the right time will be, eventually, I think I'll have to get back on that train and go!

All the best to everyone headed to Moosecamp. May it be an awesome week!

Quick question: Does anybody who's been to Moose Camp know if most of the vendors accept credit cards? I'm just wondering if I need to stop at the bank and get some more $$$.

I'm packing the car, so if you know, respond QUICKLY!!!

You're probably already there now and won't see this until you return, but the answer is yes they do. Cash, checks, credit cards, IOUs. (Well, maybe not the latter.)

DJ,

It was pretty apparent from all the bags of stuff in my room that I had NO problem figuring out a way to pay for new clown toys. Thanks though.

Sure was fun!!

I didn't buy much, one magic trick, gloves, and a skull cap. OK, I guess I did also buy some things at the auction, the big kazoo, t-shirts, and a few other items which will come in the mail like the DVD, pictures, and photo package. I was worried about my suitcase being too heavy, but I was 7 pounds under the limit.
