Exclamation Sweaty Face Paint

Okay so I've been through the recommended face painting thread and someone recommended that Paradise held up better against sweat than Snazaroo.

Our events are mostly outdoor and happen in some of the hottest of summer months. It's very important that I go with a sweat-resistant set of paints. What do you think? Have you ever had paint run into someone's eyes because of sweat?

Much thanks!

no, I have both snaz and paradise. one event little shade, the paradise did better, in regard to how well it when on, the snaz got kinda gummy es. the black. For me paradise is easier to work with, but I've not really tried any thing else but those two, and Palmers which doesn't hold up well.

Snazaroo will tend to melt in direct sunlight... if this happens you can put it in the fridge untill it hardends then leave it out with the lid OFF do it can dry out...

Thanks for the advice, we should take a cooler with us, methinks. We were going to take one for animal balloons, anyhoo.

If the kids are sweating heavily they are going to be difficult to paint period. I would see about having them wipe their face with a paper towel or wet wipe.

There are two products, nearly the same, to consider. The first is "Barrier Spray" by Mehron, and the second is "Final Seal" by Ben Nye. I don't remember the chemical name but you can think of them as soluble liquid plastics. Basicly they help seal the face. You spritz the face and in a very few moments it dries then you can paint the face right over it and its even better it you spritz the face a second time after you've painted the face. If you do this, and the child doesn't start rubbing his face, I have seen children run through the sprinkler and jump in the pool, and the face painting stays. Now if they stay in the pool for the next hour of course the paint comes off, but Barrier Seal helps protect the artwork. Now add soap and everything comes right off.
