I used it for years. It was the best we had for a long time. But then paradise came out. I like it better. It does cost more. But I do rather fancy painting and it blends better.

Wolfe bros. has also come out but it is even more expensive and I think it is about the same as paradise.

Snazaroo is still a very good product. I had a little trouble with the green. It seemed to crumble and stain the skin. The containers break up before you use all of the product so that is a little annoying. They tend to dry out to much if you don't use it often. Also if it sits in the store to long.

So I guess it depends on how demanding you are and how fancy you want to paint.

Thanks, I have never used it. I was thinking of switching because their website is so easy to find everything on. My preference is probably Star Blend but I don't know now who to order it from.

I just purchased some Starblend from TMeyers.com. It's made by Mehron and seems to go on really fast as a base for a full face (lions, tigers, monsters, spiderman, etc. and for blending. You don't use water with it - it goes on dry with a sponge (or brush even).

I've been using Snazaroo for years and have been pretty happy with it (except the black seems to get goopy on the brush after a while). I think I will slowly switch over to Paradise because I've heard nothing but good things about it and they have some awesome colors.

Silly Farm ( Silly Farm Supplies Inc. - face and body paints and face and body painting ) is amazing and has everything you could want.

Personally, I'll put my vote in for Mehron's Paradise. I really think it's the best product out there. It blends better than Snazaroo, the colors (except the metallic) are more consistent in texture, Shelli Farber at Mehron is a gem to work with if you have any questions, and the product smells DELICIOUS unlike the chemicaly smell of Snazaroo.

My next choice, which has some amazing colors that aren't available in the Paradise line, is Kryolan's AquaColor. Also a wonderful product, also sold by Silly Farm. Doesn't smell as good or have as good of texture, but better than Snazaroo and they have some amazing colors too.

Good luck!

Mark

P.S. Mehron's StarBlend is a great product when used as intended, IMHO. Used as intended is as a pressed powder foundation applied with a cosmetic sponge slightly damp.

P.P.S. Yes, the implication in that is that I do not care for dry application of Starblend with a "smoothie blender" - it's just not my thing.

Oh my gosh no...! Wolfe Bros is completely different than Paradise... It has super coverage because their colors are very highly pigmented... The black for detail and the white for coverage are matched by none other..... The trade-off is that the colors CAN stain clothing... I use Paradise/Snaz for pastels, because the Wolfes don't have light opaque colors like that... but everything else is Wolfe Bros... the colors are so incredibly vibrant... and they work beautifully!

I've never used Wolfe Bros but I find Paradise white much more highly pigmented than Snazaroo white
