Just starting my hospital clowning career. I've been for my initial training. Anyone have some tips for a beginner?

Most of all have fun.

Don't take to much as you'll go room to room and can reuse gags, props, jokes, etc. Don't stay over 3-5 mins, or you might be there for hours on end. My first time I think I was there 5 hours.

Each place has their rules and procedures make sure you know as much as you can. and don't forget the nurses and Doc. they love a giggle too. Had a Dr. once ask for one of my Brown E's so he could autograph it. [big deal to him]. lol

I have recently been an apprenence of a clown at a local hospital. And what works best to turn out the smiles is whopee cushions. It is best used when you are a female clown because the patients never expect it. I use it a ton and the patients love it. It just doesnt have the same affect with male clowns. Flatuence is funny as patch adams said!
