I'd Get a lab coat, a pair of baggy pants, and a huge long tie and I'd say you were there. Our Clown Doc uses a pair of blue scrubs.

check out good will and look in the women's section too. Scrubs and lab coats are often unisex clothing Big Lots usually has a sale on them to once a year.

I haven't done a lot of sewing but from the looks of them a set of scrubs seems like it would be one of the simplest things to make. No shape to speak of and sizing always seems fairly ambiguous.

Doc
Scruffy is right I wear a blue pair of scrubs with either a white or a blue turtle-neck long sleve shirt as my scrubs are short sleve. I also have a white lab coat. I wear a blue very curly wig. Black shoes. I carry a stephascope.
I also use a pro-nose Ralph, and a pair of eye glasses, without the lenses whitch I clean with a bandana. I run the cloth through the holes where the lenses use to be.
I also, carry a doctor's bag. I found a Swiss Tec bag in the lugage department of K-mart. Inside I carry a therometer (axalary, only way it will fit, unless you have a clown with an extreamely large mouth). I also, have a metal bed pan, a large shot, a box saw with the blade covered by cardboard and duct rape, and a few large pills.
I also carry scruffy's new percription eye glasses (glasses with large bottles for the lenses). I have a small horse and a stool sample. I also have a I-chart, a I-test and an I Q test.
I hope that this helps
Doc.
P.S. Scruffy time for your physical (now which room did I leave him in???)

I found a bright red lab coat that I wear sometimes with my white scrubs and blue wig. I added some pockets on the inside to carry some props. I also have the big long blue tie with white polka dots (right-on Scruffy ) and a blue stethoscope with a plunger at the end. Add a nose and I’m set. It all comes out very bright (and very patriotic ). I love your props Doc!

I was at one of the local malls that I haven't visited in a while. They had a store that sold scrubs. Most looked like they were for women with one or two racks that were labeled men. I thought they would make the good foundation for a pair of clown pants. It took me a while to find the right color, but decided upon a clearance pair that had a team logo. I am hoping that my basic sewing skills can add pockets and colorful trim along the bottom.
