Default howdy!!!

Hi everyone!!! I started clowning for some agencies in NYC years ago...I recently decided to start up again on my own here in hawaii. I'm having a great time getting my costume and act together...as well as thinking about advertising. My name in NYC was Twinkle Toes...but there is already a clown here with that name. I'm going back and forth between Loonette, Annie Belle, and Oopsie Dayzee...My character is young, innocent, playful, etc. What do you all think??? I'm sure I will have many questions for all of you in the next few weeks! Glad I came across the site! Andrea :)

I belong to both organizations and I much prefer COAI. The magazine seems much more useful to me. Also the COAI Yahoo Group is fantastic! A lot of great information and you really get to know some of the "top" clowns around. You know, those clowns that you hear about all the time, and at first seem like they must me someone special. Nah, they are just people like you and me, they love clowning and love sharing their knowledge with other clowns.

Howdy back at ya!
Don't for get to join our weekly chat. Thursday at 9pmEST.

I am not a member of either organization, but I know I definately hear more about COAI than any other group. They do seem to be the best-liked, if that's any help.

I belong to COAI and ISCA. Love them both. Of course, you have to be a Shriner Clown to join ISCA.

Hi Loonette! Welcome to the Clown-Forum!

Loonette is the name of a clown from a show I used to like to watch (even though I'm too old for it) called Big Comfy Couch. She was an awesome clown. It was a kids show on PBS. The woman that plays Loonette (Alyson Court) also played the voice of Lydia in the Bettlejuice cartoon amongst other things. Weee useless information 4 u! YouTube has a bunch of video clips of the show and of course they are all clowns.

Here's the theme song for The Big Comfy Couch. Just what you wanted I'm sure!

Are you ready, are you ready, are you ready to clown around?
With Loonette and Molly - A clown and her dolly on the big comfy couch.

There is lots to doodle do. Loonette loves to sing for you.
With a wiggle and a giggle and loony friends
The playtime silliness never ends

Get Ready
All over and under the big comfy couch

Are you ready, are you ready, are you ready to clown around?
With Loonette and Molly - a clown and her dolly on the big comfy couch.
