Default just jim

I thought that I posted an introduction but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Anyone know where it's at?

I am Jim and I am a retired maintenance man. I recently bought some steam calliope circus clown music on cd's and have been having a ball with them. It suddenly occured to me that I may be a clown without really ever having been aware of it. Make sense?

My clowning is normal daily activity for me. I really step up the action for kids (especially my grandkids) I'll do most anything to make them laugh.

I found the Clown-Forum quite by accident and am so happy that I did because I love all of you and what you do. I like reading all of the posts and intend to participate in your Thursday evening chats.

Well, "Bump a Nose" not a red one though...

Just Jim...

Welcome Jim! You're not the first one here to realize there was a clown inside them trying to get out. (Let him out already!) Remember, newbies to Clown Chat bring the chips and dip

Glad you found us. Hmmmmm your scenario sounds familiar. It was similar with me. Always remember: clowning comes from the heart inside, not the getup on the outside.

It sounds like you fit right in. Pull up a chair and sit a spell the shows about to start. Might as well enjoy it with a few friends.

Thank you for the tips. I believe you are right about coming from the heart. As I ponder what to do for an outfit for the "outside" I wonder if it is really necessary. A few props and funny hats? I have a box full of funny hats by the piano that I use for comedy routines.

Have you ever been a rodeo clown or personally known one?

Just Jim.

Hi Scruffy. Thanks for throwing out the Welcome Mat.

A maintenance man? Well I'll be jiggered. Small world eh? We'll have to have a Boiler Room question and answer session sometime.

See ya on the flip side...

By the way your picture reminds me of "Columbo" from the TV series "Columbo" do you use "Columbo" in any of your skits?

Just Jim...

Thank you for the warm welcome.

I've been readin your "stuff" and I luv it! Again, I love what's happening in the world of clowning.
I will enjoy learning and try to develop a method to all of my sillyness in an effort to make the whole world happy...

See ya on the flip side...

Welcome to the forum Jim! I think a few funny hats are a great way to get into clowning. Funny hats is pretty much my whole act, that and oversized pants and collars. Some of the best clowns in the world have had little more than silly hats!
