Default Polly Painter, have paint will travel

Hello, Polly Painter here. I've been clowning for a few years in our small town and surrounding towns. My speciality is face painting and balloons animals. I clown on a part time basis. I own a retail arts & crafts store and I'm an artist. Clowning, art and my store are all tied together, somehow it just seems to fit. www.pollypainter.com

Welcome Polly. I see you started your Arts & Crafts in 2002, how long have you been clowning? Have you been to TNT there in Georgia or the SECA conventions? I've heard great things about SECA but haven't had a chance to go to that convention. Your artwork is fantastic.

Default I'm SO excited

Thank you for the welcome. I'm so excited to have found this site. No I have been unable to attend the conventions. Perhaps in the future, the store still keeps me somewhat tied down and I don't get to travel as much or as far as I'd like, at this time.

I've been clowning for 3 years and it's been a huge blessing in my life.

Thank you for your kind words on my artwork! All six of my clown pieces were done the year after I lost a very dear friend of mine. Clowning and creating that series helped me thru the grieving process.

It's interesting how things come into your life. As a struggling artist I recently opened a store with my images on CafePress and I found this site as a result of a post on their site.

Just this past week we finished a two week clown camp for kids. We had 7 attend and it was a wonderful experience for me. It recharged my clown batteries, so to speak.

It's going to be so awesome to have a network of clowns to talk to.
