Howdy I'm Snugglesnort
Howdy all!
My name is Robert aka Sidney Snugglesnort from Abilene, Texas. I am trying to join the Peace Corps right now, but after that I have a strong desire to be a circus and stage clown, so I have been reading all the clown books I can get my hands on, learning numerous skills (music is my forte), collecting props and costume items, and trying to make my friends and family laugh as much as possible. I am still developing a character. I envison a kind of tramp/hobo that embodies "Solace" by Scott Joplin... If that makes any sense.
I am looking forward to being here, learning stuff, and pondering questions like "What is funny... I mean really... when you get down to it?"

Serendipitous salutation, Sydney Snugglesnort. You've found a great bunch of folks . My daughter was in the peace corps in Guatemala for two years. She loved it. Did you say "What" is funny? I know, he's a riot.

Welcome to the Forum S.S. Glad to read you are doing your homework. So many overlook all the good books and magazines that are available. I need to listen to "Solace" again so I can get the right feeling.
There is an organization that studies humor and laughter. I can't remember the name right now but I saw a couple of pages I had printed off just yesterday. I will find them in the next day or so and post a link to the site.
