Default Returning to clowning

Hi all. I am gearing up to return to clowning after about 10 years of being away from it. I had to get a real job and raise two kids. The kids are grown and I am semi-retired, so I'm gonna dust off my wig and get back out there. When I was clowning I mostley did kids BD parties, which is what I like best. I had a weekley gig at a Pizza hut too. I'm guessing this is gonna be almost like starting from the beginning again. I need to get supplies (balloons, makeup ect) figure out where I'm gonna advertise, and make some new clown friends. This seems like a friendley helpful forum. My original startup date was gonna be early next year but things seem to be coming together quicker than I thought they would and I may be ready to start advertising myself sooner than that. I used to be Rainbow the clown before but I wanted something new this time. Since my real name is Kitty, I'm going with Miss Kitty for my clown name. I'm taking a TJam balloon class next week to brush up on balloons. There just so happens to be one 5 minutes from my house. I can't believe how easily restarting is going so far. I still have to get some new magic tricks and brush up on magic. I'll need to restock makeup, make business cards and coloring pages of my charecter for the kids to take home. Maybe I'll be ready in October. I'm really excited to be going back to clowning, and maybe just a little bit scared. Any feedback or words of encouragement would be would be appriciated. A standing ovation would be evan nicer.

Welcome! I'm new to this forum but can tell you if you go back and read some of the previous posts, you'll get all kinds of good hints and ideas from everyone willing to share.

You are also welcome to visit the website me and some of my fellow clown graduates put together to help promote each of us. We have an articles page started and you might find some of those of help. And our ensemble routines are on our video page. http://www.clownsentertain.com

I checked out your site. What a good looking bunch of clowns!! I forgot to add that I live in beautiful Bucks County, PA. I'm about 30 miles north of Philadelphia. For all you clowns with young kids, I live 1 mile from Sesame Place.
