Thanks, everyone!
I'm so excited. It's going to be a whole lot of fun this year. Klowning of course tops the list.
My Unit will be doing the George Washington's Brithday Parade in Alexandria, Virginia on 18 February. This is a yearly tradition for us. As is the St. Patrick's Day Parade in the same town. This year on 01 March. In April we'll be marching with the Almas Shriner Klowns at the National Cherry Blossom Parade in Washington, DC. Following that, we might get to do the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Parade in Winchester, Virginia. (Insurance Issues need to be resolved first.) That will take us through the Spring.
We have various other events at the Shrine Temple too. An Easter Egg Hunt, a puppet show, our monthly meetings and other functions.
I'm thankful to have a great group of Klowns in my unit too. One of the guys is 80+ years old. He dresses out and marches in every parade too. He's amazing.
Anyway. I just wanted to give you all an update.
Here's a picture of my wife and I at a recent Shriner Event:
