Off the road, into the real world
Greetings all,
My name is Alan Ware. I just finished 10 years with Ringling Bros, Barnum & Bailey. Most of you who have seen Ringling over the years might remember me as 'Grampa'. I'm currently in New Mexico taking a much needed vacation but I hope to get to know more of you and your community. If you need some info regarding my background and approach in circus clowning and pantomime, do a search for Calliope Magazine. Anne Sanders wrote a very nice article regarding my character this past Spring. look forward to hearing from you Would love to know about any conventions or workshop information. Welcome to the Forum Alan. I just missed seeing you with the show in Chicago in November (doesn't seem like three months already.) So glad you joined. It was a very good article in the Calliope. I look forward to your postings.

Alan Ware on the clown forum? WOW!
I don't know how many of you have seen Alan perform. But, in my estimation, he is one of the single best clowns out there today. Every chance I had to see his act was like getting a free lesson. So glad to have you around, "Grampa!"

Welcome Grampa! I haven't had the pleasure of seeing you perform, but I've seen profiles and was amazed that a spry young fellow could create such a fabulous character. We hope you'll join in the discussions and chat! Let me know if you need any help, we'll find a place for you to put your feet up
