Default Hi there!

Hi everyone,

I'm not really a clown perse, but I am actually a film-maker and I am making a short film about clowns.

My film revolves around a clown who is training to defeat another clown in a clowning competition. It takes influence from clowning traditions, professional wrestling and films like Rocky and The Karate Kid.

I am actually stuck on the ending and need to find a suitable one-clown routine that my lead character can perform to win the competition.

If anyone can help or provide any information or suggestions it would be much appreciated, and if anyone would like to know more about my short film, then feel free to ask, I'll be happy to answer any questions.

Thanks, Mitch

Welcome to the Forum Mitchy. Have you had any interaction with clowns before making this movie? Can you supply us with more information about the plot, storyline and other details please. At the moment I see no connection between the real clown world and Rocky (unless you are talking about Rocky and Bullwinkle.) Real clown competitions are not about beating the snot out of another clown, they are about making as many people laugh and enjoy themselves as possible. I can supply you with a sample of the judging criteria used on the regional and international levels if you so wish.

Howdy Mitch!

The impression I am getting is of a underdog triumphs movie Fitz, where the funniest clown wins.

I posted a gag on the other thread based on that premise.

Welcome Mitchy! I imagine your clowns are training for some intensive physical comedy bits in their routines. I hope the members here can give you the advice you're looking for. We'd be interested to see the finished product so please let us know when you're finished with your film!
