Howdy!
Hello, Clowns!
Thanks for welcoming me, and excuse me while I try to figure out how to navigate my way through this. (I had to get my 10-year-old to get my photo up! Humbling) I discovered the Clown Forum today while trying to get ideas for a talk I'm giving next week to my clown club on walk-arounds. I don't know how I didn't discover you sooner. I look forward to talking to you all more in the future!

HA!
HA! I guess my kid didn't quite get the picture on here either. I guess we're ALL computer-illiterate at my house. You'll have to use your imagination (Picture hair the color of pickles)

What club do you belong to Pickles? Are you in the Northern or Southern half of the state? Did you know that the first week in October there is going to be a really good convention in Oconomowoc? You can find more information at Welcome Any yet more questions... How long have you been clowning? Oh, and since I forgot at the beginning "Welcome to the Forum, we are glad you finally found us. But since you are late you missed the brownies.

Thanks again for your warm welcome! To answer your questions: I've been clowning since fall of 2001. I started with Smiles Unlimited Clown Ministry in Indiana, but after a couple years of clowning we moved to rural Kentucky, where I was pretty much on my own. (It was lonely being the town's only clown, but I did get some valuable experience). Then we moved to Minnesota, where I found a great group of clowns, but we moved again after one year (thanks to husband's job) and am now in western Wisconsin, hopefully permanently. I've joined the 3M Clown Club in St. Paul, which has about 15 active clowns, and does a lot of nursing home shows, hospital clowning, benefits, company picnics, etc. I also do parties and volunteer stuff on my own.
I LOVE this forum, but why didn't I find it sooner? Sure wish I'd known about it when I was solo-clowning in Kentucky. Maybe I wouldn't have needed to have so many conversations with puppets and rubber chickens!

Yes, Fitzwilly, our club recently went on a "Field Trip" to the new Twin Cities Magic shop. Pretty cool!
