I love that idea Snugglesnort. "You think I'm funny? Funny like a clown?"

Now that you mention it I think I am going at this the wrong way hehe. I think I'll make it about a Circus Mafia rather than a Carnival Mafia. The way you put it and the way other people have put it after doing more sense would make it seem a lot more believable that way what with all the clowns and acrobats I plan to include. Thanks.

JB, I think that is a wise place to start. If you want some constructive criticism, I would think that something along the idea of SnuggleSnort's story advice would be better.
Beware, guys...this is where I get mushy.
The idea of a clown is about one of the best things to ever happen to this world. They spread laughter and joy, even to grumps like me. I'll be a big girl, drop my pride and admit then when a clown walks in a room, I can't help but smile.
To be a clown is to do a noble thing. It signifies that you want to bring joy to the world and give happiness where it is not usually found. This can sometimes be a difficult task, because clowns have been viciously slandered by the media in unfair portrayals.
To be a clown also requires unique talents that must be practiced and polished to perfection. It's not called the "art of clowning" for nothing, you know. The wondrous thing about the art of clowning is that they are still seen as goofy characters, even with all the talent that they have. That just goes to show how talented they really are, because it's no easy task to put on a marvelous show filled with antics that a good chunk of your audience couldn't do if their lives depended on it, and still make them laugh. While we're at it, how easy do you think it is to make people laugh and stare in wonderment in one sitting?
Now that I've made myself look like a bleeding heart instead of the controversial tough gal (yeah right) that I am, I'll say one more thing.
If you really want to know why I feel the way I do, then stick around this forum and talk to some of the wonderful clowns here. You won't regret it, I promise.

holy crap lol, when i first did that quick reply i was replying to the last post on the first page of the topic :O I didnt even see that there was a whole nother page of posts lol and now this one. ill answer some questions now and explain some stuff...
i'm sorry Calavera for using the term psychotic. the way i used it was ignorant and stupid. what i meant to use it in the sense of saying unpredictable and... crazy in the way the joker is crazy from batman. i am also sorry for sorta labeling Konrad Beezo a crazy mixed up evil clown too, i have read the book but i guess i sorta forgot the key parts hehe maybe ill read it again to get more up to date and to learn about clowns more too.
milo one of the reasons i am writing a book about clowns though i do not know much about them is i am very interested in them. i might not be one or may not know any personally but that is why i am here at this forum in the first place, to get a lot of knowledge about them so i can create a good novel about them and put in a good word for clowns of course

No problem, JB. The important thing is that you apologized. I don't hold it against you personally, because it's a silly mistake that nearly everyone makes in their lifetime.

LOL...I see I've effectively destroyed my tough gal image. Yes, underneath it all, I am a soft and squishy marshmallow.
Eh, I don't mind. I'm awful fond of you guys. Heck, I just plain like you.
If you want evidence of that, just look and see that I haven't cursed once in this forum (I normally curse like a sailor) because I don't want to get kicked off and leave you all.

Cal,
I always knew you were hard and crusty on the outside, but soft and mushy on the inside!

You have to be careful when you say that. It's the same definition that makes something "Half- baked".
Cheers,
Scruffy
