There was a Whowe on this forum. Same guy?

What I'd recommend is just to start being playful with makeup. Try some on and see how it looks. Then make changes, as necessary. If you want to get an idea of how it may turn out without actually using it on your face first, then take a picture of your face and apply a clear plastic sheet, then use markers on it to try out ideas. Follow the natural lines on your face to find your face.

If you can, get a copy of Strutters Guide To Clown Makeup which is an excellent tool for understanding some of the fundamentals.

Welcome to the Clown Forum tim has some good recommendations. Strutter's Complete Guide to Clown Makeup is a great resource for any new clown. There are several posts on the forum about makeup and a recent post to a youtube video showing how to put on clown makeup.

Like Tim I was wondering about Whowe. We haven't heard from "our" Whowe for months. The best thing you can do is look at a lot of pictures and start playing with the makeup. Strutters is good as well as looking at pictures from reputable sites online.

Welcome to the group, Patches!

Where are you a Mason and with which group? There are several other Masons on this forum, my Dad being one of them. Do you know a Fred Baisch? He's my Dad. He's with the Osman Shrine in St. Paul, MN. Co-owner of Twin Cities Magic & Costume with Jim Berg.

Great to have you with us!

All these suggestions are great. The only thing I can add is to search "Circus Magic", a convention/workshop that takes place in Feb. each year at Williamsburg, Va.
