Default Hi from melvacohenour

Hi! Clementine is my name and clowning is my game. (I can't keep my ducks in a row). I'm about to give up on ducks. I'm thinking about a rabbit. Does anybody have any suggestions on using a real rabbit in any kind of a show? I've been working and learning as I go for about nine years. I am from Madison, in Boone County, West Virginia. I am a member of the Kanawha Klown Alley, Charleston, WV as well as the COAI. I'll get back with more on me later.

Well, there was a cooking show awhile back entitled "Set Oven at 350"

Welcome to the Forum Clem. Were you at the COAI convention at Richmond a few weeks ago? If so there is a chance that you may have met a few Forum members there. Well, take a look around, there are a lot of old posts that still have good information so feel free to make a comment here and ask a question there.

They make a number of production boxes for rabbits. What type of rabbit do you have? The small to medium rabbits have the most options for being hidden but the large ones are the most impressive when produced.

Glad to have you with us Clementine!

What size rabbit, and what sort of price range are you looking at? Also, have you tried putting your duck in a duck bucket?

Hey, Clem!

Welcome to Clown Forum!

A few years ago, I experimented with using a live rabbit in my show. I had two production boxes that both worked well -- a Circus Wagon and a Rabbit Wringer (which I believe has been discontinued).

Unfortunately, I no longer have a rabbit that I can use in my shows. My current bunny, Princess, is a former shelter bunny. She's had a very rough life and is too emotionally fragile (and chubby) to use in shows, so I just try to keep her as a happy and well-fed family pet. (Every year around Easter my husband starts eying her hungrily, so I also try to protect Princess from him.)

I've held onto both of those production boxes, and maybe someday I'll give it another try.

Audiences were definitely impressed with the live animal production, although it's a bit of a hassle.
