Aloha!
Aloha! My name is Nikole and I am a puppet builder/puppeteer from Hawaii. I have been thinking about the art of clowning for over a year now and have decided to take the plunge to become a clown. Now, I know that this will take a lot of work but I am willing to learn all I can in the art. I understand that character development is the crucial piece and I have been thinking about it for over a year now. I think I am getting close. Right now I write and produce my own puppet shows for public performances as well as children's birthday parties. I think that the art of clowning is an obvious progression for me. I also belong to Puppets and Stuff which is a puppet forum that I have seen mentioned here before. I am sure that I will have a ton of questions for all of you seasoned professionals but in the meantime, I will be spending a lot of time reading past posts to gain as much knowledge as I can and will help to answer many of my burning questions. I am so excited to think that I could be a part of this art. Thank you all for allowing me to delve into your professional lives.
Mahalo (thank you)
Nikole

Welcome Nikole,
Check out the archives, and don't be shy about asking questions. You will probably be asked quite a few about puppets

Howdy! I recognize you from the Puppet forum! I am one of the less frequent visitors there that has some pretty wild ideas but no follow through.
Hope you dont do the reverse here!

Thank you for the warm welcomes. I have to say that I was really nervous about posting since I have absolutely no knowledge about clowning. I hope that I can help in any way with puppetry. At least THAT is something I know a little about.
I also used to work on the Jungle Cruise attraction at Disneyland. I drove a boat around the jungle and told really bad jokes. I think that was great experience to then go into clowning. I will of course be showcasing that experience in my "act."
I will definitely be nosing around in the archives. I'm so very excited and again....THANK YOU all for welcoming me. I am in complete awe in all of you.
I humbly bow down to your wonderfulness!!!
Aloha,
Nikole a.k.a "Puppet" at least that is the name I have been given by my online chatting friends.

Welcome, Nikole!
How very cool to have a puppeteer on board. I think there are many of us -- including me -- who are eager to learn from your expertise.
You can help us via Clown Forum, or BETTER IDEA: How 'bout if we all fly to Hawaii and take puppeteering lessons from you on the sandy Hawaiian beach!
