Default Hello All!

The name’s Goober. I’m very young, still a high school student, but I’ve had a deep love of clowns as long as I can remember. I’m by no means the class clown, though- I’m actually an honors student. I enjoy clowning all the same, making a silly face in the mirror every now and then and spontaneously breaking into random dance (I call it SCS- Spontaneous Choreography Syndrome). I wanted to learn hoe to further my clowning abilities, and I figured, “Hey, where better than where the experts hang out?” Any tips on slapstick will be deeply appreciated. Thanks!

You have come to the right place Goober. There are clowns of all ages and sizes here. Bookworm is 14, DJ is 16, Snickers is 19 (At least I''m close with the ages.) Stick around, read lots of the old threads and weave a quilt of knowledge for yourself.

Hey Goober, sorry I didn't respond sooner, I haven't had much forum time lately.

Welcome to the family! There are a number of high school and just out of high school people here (though, I'm not one of them, I graduated 5 yrs ago), so you'll fit right in.

As far as slapstick goes, are you familiar with any of the old comedians? Laurel and Hardy, the 3 Stooges, Buster Keaton.......? These are some of the best clowns to learn slapstick from. There are others that some of the other clowns on here will also reccomend, if they have not already done so, that are also very good.

Again, welcome to the family!

Welcome to the Clown Forum! Have you developed a clown character or are you still getting started?

I've started to develop one, but I'm not quite there yet.
