Just before I received my new to me lung, a friend spoke to me about becoming a clown. Now, I know that people need to "give back" but now I feel doubly obligated to be the very best I can be and give to those who need to honor my donor and my new ability to breathe freely

I don't know my name or persona but I'm on my way!

Welcome to the Forum Sandak. don't worry too much right now about a name and your character. They will come in time, it takes time and knowledge to develop. Start reading the old posts that seem interesting, see if the local library has any books on clowning. Remember that any "rules" you see or read can be bent and broken upon occasion. They may work for the person writing them down but they may not work the same way for you. Experiment, have fun, clowning is a lifelong learning experience, so plan on playing. It is hard work to play so much. Ask questions! we encourage you and everyone to ask questions. We are continuously lerning from each other on this Forum. Just because I talk a lot (okay, more than a lot) I still learn from most everyone on the Forum.

Sandak, Welcome to the forum. You might look for a book called, Creative Clowning. by Tony Blanco and Bruce Fife. It is the closest thing to a text book about clowning. And, if you are going to be laid up for awhile, it will give you insight into becoming a clown. Welcome again. We love to answer question. Please do read the old posts, and If you see anything there or have any questions. feel free to ask 'em again!
Cheers,
Scruffy
