Joke about Marriage and Listening
I had a young man ask me the other day if married people are good at listening. My response was:
1. During the 1st year of marriage, the wife listens to the husband talk.
2. During the 2nd year of marriage, the husband listens to the wife talk.
3. During the 3rd year of marriage, the neighbors listen to the wife and husband talk at the same time.

It SEEMS like I've been married more than a year, but according to this, I STILL have to listen to him too much. At least we haven't gotten to stage 3 yet; at least on most days.

I'm not sure how to get to the point where he listens to me more than I listen to him. I'm a lot thmahter and kewter, but he knows EVERYTHING.
Actually, I just posted this, 'cuz it makes me a grand poobah (or are girls grand poobah-esses?)!! (Ah, cheap thrills, huh?) I changed my hair color for the event and my name is now right, after 4 months. I didn't know I could change it, but it used to be one word, now there is a space ... just like in my BRAIN!!

Nettie Belle, I think that was the fastest anyone's ever reached Grand Poobah. I may have to make these titles harder to attain Congratulations and thanks for all your participation!

The Great Pun-Off thread certainly helped. Nettie has been one of the leaders of that thread.
Congrats on the accomplishment!!!

This could be because my husband is a couch potato and if he's home, he is asleep in front of the t.v. in the recliner at 8:07 p.m. This leaves me to do computer stuff or sew. Most people probably have a more action-packed evening than I do. I love the pun-off; it's very cute.

If your husband sleeps in front of the tv in a recliner, wouldn't that make him a recliner potato?
