It must be the time I spent in Kentucky, but I actually think these are pretty cool. My kids would LOVE them. I definitely plan to replicate this fine seafood entree for dinner this week.

My kids would not be shocked if I put real octopus on the dinner table.
My husband and I like to eat weird food, and a few years ago when my middle kid was 5 or 6, I made squid for dinner. When my daughter came home from school the next day, I asked her if she had told her friends that her parents had eaten squid the night before. She got this weird look on her face and said, "No, Mommy, this our little family secret."

I've made it for our kids many times. We call it Octopus on and Island. Hillbilly Calamari..... That would work too.
