There once was a mother skunk who had twin boy skunks.
She named the boy skunks In and Out.

As supper time approached one evening she looked and noticed that Out was in. but In was out.
Since supper was almost ready she told Out to go out and to find In and bring In in.
So Out went out to find In because while Out was in, In needed to quit being out and be in also.

Out quickly found In and told In he needed to come in.

The mother was surprised at the speed with which Out had found In. So she asked Out how he had found In so fast.

Out's reply was, Instinct.

When I was a kid, that was my favorite joke. I used to follow my mother around with a joke book reading the same jokes over and over. She pronounced the traditional curse: "I hope you have a child just like you."
