My 50th class reunion dinner was held at the local country club. The doorman wouldn't let me in because I wasn't wearing a necktie and he didn't have any left to loan me.

He asked me if I had something in my car to use instead—a piece of rope, for instance. After some searching I came up with a small pair of jumper cables.

The doorman looked at my jumper cable necktie, shook his head, and said:

"OK, I guess you can go on in. But don't you start anything!"

Be careful, this might be an opening for a new movement of purple haired clown jokes.
