Yes, I'm very familiar with Mr. Garfield's work.

Well, they're both wonderfully skilled. I can't criticize that!

Noname. Always comes to my mind as well. I would have prefered to see the Bliss been made by for example Luke Burrage or Thomas Dietz but they are to nice to do so. I mostly disagree with Jason but now for one time I do agree that the performance of Chris isn't worth the attention it is given. I totally disagree with Jason that a juggling act should be of a specific technical level. I do think though it should be of a overall certain level whether it is technical, entertaining or artistic. I don't see any of these 3 in Chris his performance certainly not so much to give him this much attention! Look around there are so many much better jugglers and I mean performancewise.

I think the Bliss video is appropriate because of the variety he shows and the accessibility for the folks here on the forum interested in learning the art.

I enjoy it for the amount of entertainment Chris manages to pull out of those three balls. Sure, there are a lot of jugglers who are more technically proficient, but few as entertaining.

Personally, my favorite juggler has gotta be this guy, the late Red Ryder.

Agree 100% The issue I have with Garfield is he is too much of a purist, and if everyone is not juggling the way he prefers they are doing it wrong, no questions asked. However, as I have argued with other jugglers, a clown is not meant to be a professional juggler but, like you said, entertaining. I was never once entertained by Garfield's performances, and in some ways it is almost as though his arrogance shines through his performances. He thinks he is the definitive juggler and so must be perfect in all ways. I once got in trouble with a "juggler" for giving a lesson on juggling that was not the same way Garfield teaches, but, rather the lessons you can find in almost every single juggling book that you read.

However, at the risk of continually saying uncharitable things about him and his methodology, I will leave it at that.

I juggle my way, he his, and I am quite content with my style as I am sure he is more than content with his
