Default FREE Magic Tutorials on Cable TV

If you subscribe to Charter Cable TV, you have an option on your screen menu for something called "On Demand". If you've never explored this hidden gem on your menu, you should try it out! I was surfing through all the free shows, and found a channel called MagRack (it's listed under "Cutting Edge Free TV").

It has hours of free magic demonstrations, many of them have reveals and tutorials shown at the end of the episodes. My favorite to watch is Justin Kredible's "Turning Tricks" episodes. MagRack changes the episodes every month and lists the expiration date by each listing so you know when it will disappear. I've tried finding the expired episodes online to watch them again, but no luck. If you really like a trick and want to watch it over and over again, I suggest you tape it before it expires!

Most of the magic is close-up magic: cards, ropes, rings, coins, and everyday stuff. I highly recommend checking it out if you want to watch the pros and get great tips!

If you have Charter, here is how you find the free magic shows:
1. Click the MENU button on your remote.
2. Find the ON DEMAND option in the screen menu.
3. Scroll until you see the CUTTING EDGE section.
4. Scroll until you see the MAGRACK channel
5. Click on MAGIC
6. You will see a list of episode titles; highlight a title and click the INFO button on your remote to see a description of the tricks displayed in that episode.
7. You can play, pause, and rewind the shows, which is great for learning a magic trick step-by-step.
8. After you've watched an episode, a check mark will appear next to the title so as to remind you which ones you've seen already.

Charter is the only carrier of MagRack in the Minnesota, but your local cable provider might have something similar to "On Demand" under a different name.

Happy learning!
