well, that's one kind of hot rod. but we're talking about the magic kind. it's a small stick w/ 6 jewels on each side. the trick is you change the jewels from different colors to all 1 color.

Now you know the principle you can make your own illisions ie take 6 button, crayons in a crayon box ect. [actually I'm thinking about making the crayon one to use as a lead into the coloring book. ]I've got one made with beads based on the same principle.
