More magic help needed...

OK. So I just spent way too much $$ at LaRock's. But, I've ordered a change bag & some stuff to go with it. One thing I got was a scarf set - 3 scarves: 1 solid white, 1 w/ Jesus' face & 1 w/ satan's face. Only problem is it doesn't come w/ any routine ideas. Being so new to magic, #1 I'm gonna have to play with my change bag to figure out how it works. But # 2 I need some ideas for patter. Any suggestions for this particular set of scarves?

I'll have my order tomorrow, so I'm sure I'll be posting more questions later this week. All help is greatly appreciated!

OH! And I ordered 2 more Hot Rods so that I can make the change to different colors instead of just the one that I have.

how about basicly saying we all have sin. (scarf with saten) or saten is in our life...
put it in the bag.
Add jesus with the standard message appropriate for the age group...
put it in the bag
Say a prayer or what ever bit of business, and throw the switch on the change bag (if that is the kind you have) and...pull out the pure white silk with the sin all washed away.

That is a short bit. you would of course add more patter but you get the idea.

"We are born innocent. When we enter the world our minds are pure." (Display white silk). Change white silk to satan to show how a mind can be corrupted by the evils of the world. Change satan print to Jesus print to show the best way to protect your mind from the devil/evil.

Of course, this would work easily with a change bag but if you are going to base the whole routine around the 3 silks then it could be well worth looking into dye tubes or palmos. Then you'll have a very strong and visual yet compact effect.
On the other hand if your going to be using other props or volunteers a change bag will make life simpler.

thanks for the suggestions. George, i'm so new to magic, i think i'll stick w/ the change bag for now. but i'll probably look into some other options later on.

i also got a gospel gag bag - you turn it inside out several times each time revealing a different color which relates to different things: black = sin, red= Jesus' blood, white = cleansing, green = growth in Christ, & yellow = eternity in heaven. There's also a zipper pocket which can be used to produce a small cross or other trinket at the end. I'm excited about that one but I gotta work on making the turns smooth.
