D'Lite Battery
I think I have a burnt-out battery in one of my D'lites. Does anybody know the procedure for changing the battery? Should I just take tweezers and yank the whole mechanism out? Please advise me on this; I'm afraid I'm going to break it.

eeuuww. That is a tough one.
Yes you can pull it out. Why worry about breaking it if it is already not working. Once you get it out you will find it all glued together. Unless they have changed the way they make them. Mine was the little metal wire was broken off. I tried to make a new one and fiddled with it for days before I gave up. After that when one would go out I would just buy a new one. They lasted for years and that was with A LOT of use while I worked the hospital. It is great to play with the o2 sensorers on the fingers.
So if you have more patients than money go ahead and yank away. I guess I have little of either.

FYI: Bob from LaRock's just e-mailed to say that the batteries in D'Lites are not meant to be replaced and that it's best to just buy a new one. I will probably attempt it anyway -- what do I have to lose?

No, check that little guarantee that you got in the box. They replace them. I've yet to do it, but many magicians have told me that is the case.

I just got me a set, and you have to send the tips to...
D'Lite Products, Inc.
540 Ravine Court
Wyckoff, NJ 07481 USA
If your sending one you have to send the thumb tip, with a check or money order for $7.50 or for two it's $9.90.
Hope this helps.
