Default the BEST clown book for beginners AND advanced clowns alike!

Hey guys...

I wanted to let you guys know of a little secret i have been holding back from ya! LOL My mentor (Mona Webb) wrote a book called "So You Wanna Be A Clown!" it is THE WORLDS BEST CLOWNING BOOK!

I SWEAR! THIS BOOK IS BETTER THAN "CREATIVE CLOWNING" BY BRUCE FIFE AND "STRUTTER'S COMPLETE GUIDE TO CLOWN MAKE-UP" BY JIM ROBERTS COMBINED!!!!

I LOVE this book SOOOO much... here is what i covers...

Chapter 1: Nature & Attributes Of A Clown
Chapter 2: Types Of Clowns
Chapter 3: Discover & Release The Clown In You
Chapter 4: Makeup & Supplies
Chapter 5: Techniques Of Makeup Application
Chapter 6: Designing Mouth & Eyes
Chapter 7: Lines, Outlines & Noses
Chapter 8: Your Special Clown Face
Chapter 9: Removal & Care of Makeup
Chapter 10: Makeup Problems: Causes & Cures
Chapter 11: Clown Wigs
Chapter 12: The Clown Wardrobe
Chapter 13: Developing Your Clown Character
Chapter 14: Introduction To Clown Skills
Chapter 15: Safety, Responsibility, & Liability
Chapter 16: Clown Venues & Opportunities

this book goes in depth in every chapter! This book is also written like a text book for the fullest education possible.

BUT THERE IS MORE!

APPENDIX A: RESOURCES
*Membership Organizations You Can Join
*Some Vendors for Clown Supplies
*Some Useful Books
*Some Continuing Education Events

And

APPENDIX B: TERMINOLOGY
*Some related terms defined

The following are direct quotes from readers:

"Mo,
I have been reading and rereading your book. I wonder if you know how underpriced you are. Don't get me wrong, I am definitely not complaining. I am just amazed that a manual so extensive did not cost me more. I am grateful. V. W., South Carolina "

"Dear Mo,
I received your book and it is fantastic. My sister took a clown class, but it was not nearly as good as your book. I want to order a copy for my sister, please send it to her at this address.,, L. P., Idaho"

"Mona, I bought your book and I must say it is without a doubt the most comprehensive resource I've found for the beginning clown. I only wish I had it when I first started... but then you and I started about the same time. S. C., North Carolina"

I know this sounds like a sales pitch you guys but PLEASE consider this book! I PROMISE you that you will be satisfied... if not I WILL LET YOU THROW A PIE IN MY FACE!!! Yes, thats right! In my FACE!!!

I have that one and it is pretty good starter on the wardrobe and makeup aspect of clowning.

Having said that, I have three books I believe are better. Two are by David Bartlett: The Clown Star, and Behind the Big Red Nose.

I also nominate Anything by Mark Stolzenberg. Be a Clown is the one I have, but there's also Clowning for Circus and Stage.

All of these books are good and well rooted in the art of performing.

Anytime I look at a new book, and its 3/4s about costume and makeup, I tend to pass. Its maybe OK for beginners who need to learn how to put a face on, but after that, too much focus on the accoutrements leads to crappy clowning.

Nah...there's a big difference between "crappy clowning" and "clowning while in the crapper"

Actually the toilet paper rose might be a great addition the the exploding outhouse bit that Thrill Show and Rodeo clowns sometimes do.
