Default hi, young new clown here

Hi! My name is Alexa and I am almost 14 years old. My dad has been a performing magician since he was in 3rd grade so I've grown up with a "show biz" background. I've become very intrested in clowning and I am hoping to start my own buisness and possibly open a party , I really want to be a planning serivce which can provide either myself or my father as the entertainment. Anyway I strolling clown in a restaurant-type atmosphere, but my dad thinks I'd be better off investing into a birthday party-type buisnesss. Any opinions? Also, if anyone knows of inexspensive clown supply stores or good books and videos for a novice, let me know!

Welcome aboard Giggles. Funny, that's my 9 year old sons name too.
There are many useful links on the board. Take your time and go through them,Study, books, many are availible in your hometown librarys inter-library loan program. Having an entertainment business is a great idea. But you should be part of the entertainment services offered. Businesses have to make money. If you are the clown that does the party then it's one less salary to be paid... AND IT'S A BLAST!! Study hard, try to look for the funny thing in every situation. Study other clowns and see what makes them funny.
Good luck!
Scruffy
