Clowning for adults?

Hi there,
I was asked a while back to clown for some adults at a party (Non sexual related) but i turned it down.

Not becuase it was for adults, but because I know NOTHING about clowning for adults.

Does anyone here cater specifically to adults or HAS anyone clowned for adults?
Where do you start? Dont adults think (In general) that clowns are for kinds and are NOT funny?

I also find that more adults are afraid of clowns than children.

I have a friend that works at a nursing home and she is having me come out there soon and wants it to be a quarterly gig. They love clowns!
I also think that more adults love clowns than not. When I did a community picnic recently, the focus was on the kids, but they were outnumbered by adults like 5 to 1. The adults enjoyed us coming to their tables and just being silly and such. I just start gabbing and funny stuff comes to mind. I got a little plastic plant that plays music and the flowers move to the beat. It's a big band sound and it's too fun when I dance with it to make my entrance. People seem to gravitate to it, even if they may not act like it at first.

I love clowning for adults and I love clowning for kids but my favorite audience is when they are together. There is nothing better than an all age audience. The presence of children help the adults open up and play. Once you have set the tone the adults then help you keep it on track. Great fun

im new to clowning but i believe there is a little kid in everyone and we all need to laugh. and what better way to bring a smile to the world than bein a clown to all

I think we should (if they can) doing clowning with adults... for sure... Specially, the elders... Bacause most of them, feel alone almost all the time...

I would like clowning for any, either children, adults or elders...

I done a show @ a nursing home where my wife worked and they loved it. I did a magic show and done balloon animals,told some silly doctor and nurse jokes like "I came in here and that nurse Jean was shouting out flu,rabbies,etc... and they said oh she likes to call all the shots around here.
