Default Hi All

I posted my pic in the gallery so it should be there as soon as approved. I'd love to hear comments. Somethings I already have thought of doing...

1. Long sleeve red turtleneck and white glove to cover skin.
2. Bowtie made from hot pepper print seen on some of the pockets.
3. Raise the hem of my pants so that my shoe is showing (do you think blue stripped socks might blend better with me hair?)

Need to learn how to set the make-up better too so the bleeding around my mouth does not happen.

I decided to cut back on my goatee big time but couldn't bring myself to completely shave it off.

Very cute pic. I would suggest a white turtleneck, and then red gloves to break up the color. Blue & white striped socks would be great! I think your hair would pull out the blue from them. Then, I'd suggest some kind of topper on your head, but not all clowns use them. Some kind of hat would be nice to finish your look.
As far as the makeup bleeding--did you look at the thread about makeup tips? there are some good ones there. Are you powdering in between each color you apply? Are you using grease paint?? Make sure you have good makeup and it won't bleed. Powder with a sock filled with talc after each color you apply. it gives it a good finished look and sets your makeup. Then get a good, BIG blush brush and brush off excess powder. If you're using a nose, then don't apply any makeup to that part of your nose. You have a great start! If you need anything, let any of us know!

Red, white, and blue striped socks might work too.

" long sleeve red turtleneck", I think would be good bring in the color on your pockets and your shoes, might consider a red and white striped clown shirt.
Since you're auguste you don't really need gloves unless you want them, I use them in skit and pic, but for me to hard to do magic or balloons, or face paint with them on.

"bow tie" try it, sounds good, or maybe a bib
"shorten the pants" what ever suits you.

Jitterbug mention a hat and I agree, some thing on your head sets of a clown wig, small, or over sized, basically anything goes as long as it goes with your clown. I don't the names for many hats but one with the brim pulled up in the middle of the front with a big button might look good, regular size or mini. size.

The best advice I could give you is to educate yourself about clowning as much as possible. This site has been my best resource because there are many who are always ready to help you.

You may benefit from going to a couple of clowning events where you can take classes on how to clown. If you go to www.clownevents.com you can check on classes in your area. I have been to about 3 over the last year and they are very helpful. You can see many props demonstrated and see firsthand if it is something you want to add to your clown stuff. Be careful not to buy too much stuff or you will have a big mess, lol.

Good Luck!

ditto on what Darrell said about events. What state are you in? check out creative minsitry festivals too. Even if you not interested in the ministry aspect of it, they usually will have classes on characture developement, balloons, face painting, birthday parties etc. and real reasonable the one in SC in April is only $45. two day workshop and they offer a critque session too and if choose you get to perform at the mall.

the gotee really needs to go for it to look good. right now it kind of scares me... smaller mouth... something is wrong with or wig.... a hat might fix it... what about some colored gloves?

I think a hat would look good. Maybe if you did shave the gotee the powder would set in better and the red mouth wouldn't run.

I think you're cute (aw shucks ... did I really say that to a boy???) but I really don't care for the blue around your mouth. That's just my opinion, you understand, and you're entitled to do your mouth in any color you want. Other than that, I think you look very nice. You're colorful and smiley. Blue hair ROCKS!
