What brand of nose do you like?
I need to get a nose- Is there a particular brand that fits better. My last foray with adhesive did not go very well. I ripped off a lot of skin. Of course that was a long time ago. Any suggestions? Thank you guys are all so wonderful!

I love pronose. It's shinny, soft and doesn't weight much. If you are going with a hobo/tramp look, go with Woochee

Wow, Tiff 8O
What did you use for adhesieve? Superglue?
Every Clown must pick his own nose, not the nose of others. (Sorry, couldn't resist. )
There are different brands with proknowse being the best (Or at least most widely used.).Sponge noses are common, not the greatest look but, hey- there cheap. I use a molded rubber one that isn'r around now. I would go with a proknows. And don't be afraid to go with the monofilament string. You can't sweat it off. A cool schnoz can often be found in the halloween section. It's a squeaker nose. White elastic string, And seems to be well made. the're about three bucks.
The great thing about proknows is they have a bunch of different sizes and shapes. Go to a costume shop and check out the selection. Most dealers have a selection that you can try on.

How are the Woochie noses? They seem relativly cheap... I'm aiming for a happy tramp clown and am wondering if the Woochie's are duller than the proknows?
Thanks a bunch,
Mike

I'm not sure how to edit my last post, but to clarify by cheap I mean monetary value, not quality.

Well, a woochee is duller than the proknows and also tends to be a little cheeper. The proknows usually ranges from $13.00-$15.00 If you want cheep. Sponge ball is not a great quality but at less than a buck....

I have been told that you can get proknows in different colors.I haven't checked though. A Woochie (I'm Told) is latex. and I guess some people can have allergies A simple clip on nose is a good choice for some. they clip around your nostrils. I used one originally. The one I had always made me feel like I couldn't breathe. It had no nostrils. All of them I have seen since have holes so you can get enough air.

I use a Pro Knows nose tip and the adhesive, holds all day comes of skin easy but need remover to keep build up off nose inside, they do have flesh colored and the first time I saw them at the last work shop I didn't think much of them at first because the flesh with the red didn't blend, but then they blend a little powder that was used on the face on the flesh part of the nose and some of the same rouge on the end of the nose and on this auguste it looked better than a red nose. They compare the two. There worth a look. The adhesive tape work well with a full nose, doesn't with a tip.. I tried.

I find any kind of prosthetic nose makes my "real" nose run like crazy, so I have taken to just painting my nose red. It works well for me.
