Great video!

As an aspiring Hobo, still in the developmental stage, I especially liked the suggestion about using the plastic garbage bags! It gave me an idear for a schtick I've been working on that I can use at street festivals.

So here's the idea: The jist is that I'm going from garbage can to garbage can trying to find what I can and I find some wrinkled old plastic bags. In the process of trying to throw them out of my way to get to the good stuff, the juggling begins, but in a way that looks like I'm annoyed with the bags.

Oh, and I just thought of another one while I was typing. Rig one of those balloon pumps so that you can hold a plastic bag in one hand and by flapping the other arm like a chicken, it pumps the bag (or balloon if you're using those) and then figure out a way to make some sort of "balloon" animal of some sort out of it.

But yeah, I'm developing a whole series of things to do just going from can to can (garbage that is) and working with whatever I find in them (without getting yucky, or course)

Any thoughts?
Brian

Whoa, this came back from the past. This is the exact method I used to learn to juggle, but once I got the concept down I found the scarves harder than using something with more weight. Now I just need to learn how to juggle *more* than three things, and work on unevenly weighted things. Good tip for beginners though

I have been using the "Klutz" cubes against the wall in my office. Dodger told me to get scarfs... but I did have 3 of those plastic bags. Really gives your arms a work out, and they dont hurt as much as it does when the cube bounces off your hands and hits you in the eye... OUCH!

Sonshine,

I taught myself how to juggle with whiffleballs (those light plastic ones with the holes in them).... But I started out by juggling them and bouncing them off the wall in my room aswell.

I agree ... those bags can give your arms a workout...

Thanks for the video link. I will have to try with the grocery bags.

I haven't mastered juggling yet. I learned several years ago when I was bored at work. We had a bunch of stress balls from various conferences and would try juggling for a few minutes at a time. I stopped after leaving that job, but have a set of juggling balls at home that I practice with when I have a few minutes. I seem to be better when I first grab the ball and get worse the more I try.

Now that I can identify with. It is your brain working too hard. It is best to work in short spurts and try juggling when you have something else on your brain. If your mind is busy thinking about something else it doesn't get in your way juggling as much.
