Default Final Makeup help

After alot of research, I have come to this decision:

I am going to purchase some clown white.
I am going to get a Pro Pencil Rod by Mehron (Red and black)
To set, I am going to get some talcum powder (from walmart)
Is this going to be enough to make a face? Does the above makeup need to be set?
If anyone knows a tutorial to applying clown makeup, please let me know.
For my nose, I am going to have it red. Do I do this with a brush and paint or a pro pencil?

I apologize for the amount of questions. =)

Have a great day!

the make-up will need to be set with the powder...

add to your purchase:

a powder brush - you can find at walmart in the make-up section, this will remove the setting powder from your face...

Here is a basic make-up application tutorial...

Thanks for the help! Do the outlines HAVE to be done with a brush? I was thinking of doing them with the Pro Pencil.
Thanks again!

If you can find a copy, get Strutters Guide to Clown Makeup. It's about the best tutorial (apart from actual in person mentoring) around.

You can either use red makeup to make a nose (it really doesn't matter whether you use a pencil or something else) or you can but a clown nose. Though I think it would be easier if you had a cup of makeup for this sort of purpose (using your fingers for application.) Quality clown noses are available relatively inexpensive from Proknows, Schnatlacher, and Jim Howle.

If you're buying Mehron's pencils, purchase their sharpener, also. It will make life easier - as those makeup pencils are hard to sharpen with anything else.

No need to apologize. That's what we're here for. By all means, keep the questions coming! (Though responses might be a little slow this weekend while a lot of us are at the Spring Fling.) Post some picts for constructive critique when you are ready.

Some time back I saw a tutorial put out by ringling. As I recall it was pretty good.
You need to set it with the powder if you are going out. If you are just trying on looks I wouldn't pwder it so you could easily change things. Once you set it, it is harder to get off.
Speaking of getting it off...Use an oil based make-up removed. Some people prefer baby oil. Which ever you choose, baby wipes help A LOT.
Remember you don't want your nose to be TO big. You want people to notice other things on your face besides just a nose. you want them to look into your eyes.

Can't I just use my finger with makeup from a makeup cup?

That is what I do all the time Joey. I only use the pencils and/or brushes towards the end when I am going the detail work.
