Default Mr Dazzle’s Funky Monkey!

Message for Mr Dazzle – I would love to know a little about the act you do with your monkey! I am quite good at talking without moving my lips (even if I do say so myself) and have been thinking about buying a companion too. Any advice on where to buy, features to look for and acts that never fail?

Ta.

Milo

Acts that never fail? If you had a couple of those to market you would never have to work again. We could all use an act that never fails.

Oh my god! I’m sooooo Excited! Remote control puppets! Last week I was saying to Mrs Milo that it would be great to have a remote control puppet.

“I don’t smell of rotten eggs do I?”
“Yes”
“What do you mean yes?”
“You stink”
“Well that’s not a very nice thing to say in front of the children, don’t you like being my puppet?”
“No”
“But I look after you?”
“No you don’t! You lock me in a box and only let me out for shows! You need me because you’re not very funny”
“Oh yes I am”
“Oh no your not”
“Oh yes I am”
All together now…….

Something along those lines with silly voices! They even do sound tracks with pre recorded acts – I can see how that would go wrong, but I could take some material from it!

It’s early days, but I have some ideas! That was a great Link Fitzwilly, and if Mrs Milo lets me have one I’ll post some pictures and maybe a youtube performance for you!

Oh dear…. $5,000.00 is a bit out of my price range for a puppet. The standard ones are only about $130.00 so I think Mrs Milo will let me have one of those and I’ll get a couple of the sound tracks too.

Hi Horacerocks,

Thanks will have a look – Can you tell me anything about your act, perhaps a little advise for someone who has never worked with a puppet? What have you found easy/hard and what tips can you give?

Thanks

I fell in love with Bongo! I think I’m going to order him this week along with the pre-recorded act. I probably won’t play the act as it’s bound to go wrong at a children’s party, but I’m sure there will be some good material there.

Thanks again Fitzwilly

Axtell puppets are the best. The facial expressions are amazing.
